Degchi A degchi is the most commonly used utensil in our Indian kitchens for the purpose of cooking liquidized dishes, rice, and milk-based dishes. Generally, it was invented in the ancient time of the Mughal empire of India. The degchi is traditionally made of brass and copper but with time journey artisans made this pot in iron, clay, and steel. The degchi’s neck is slightly narrower than its curved, thick base, making it a versatile pan for cooking sauces, gravies, and milk-based dishes. The wide-rim is used to lift or handle the utensil. |
Degchi Candle Pot Inspired by the shape of the Degchi utensil pot, our artisan created a pot in a wrought iron sheet with perforated artwork. Before 2018 this craft was used as a Tea-light candle holder. This was the first pattern of Degchi which was launched as a candle holder lantern. |
Degchi Dhoop Pot - First Pattern as an Incense Holder In 2018 we invented our concept of Dhoop Incense holder with Degchi Pot. For Dhoop Holder this was the first design in iron craft with a combination of antique golden polish. In starting we designed this craft in the same shape and pattern as Degchi Candle Pot but we added little additional features with few improvements to complete the concepts of our Incense Holder Pot |
