SAUBHAGYA: In a normal way, we can say that 'Saubhagya' means Good Luck or Good Fortune but in our Sanatan Culture and Spirituality many times we use this for that which is beyond the good luck. Goddess Lakshmi is also known as a goddess of 'Saubhagya' and she is also known as 'Saubhagya Lakshmi'. In our culture, there are many symbols that represent a 'Saubhagya' for us like Tilak, Sindoor, Kanthi (Tulasi Maalika), Soubhagya Sutra, etc. With a few different types of cases, we will try to understand 'Saubhagya' and 'Saubhagya Chihna' (a symbol of Saubhagya). For example, for a married woman, her husband is Saubhagya and Sindoor, Saubhagya Sutra, and bangles are 'Saubhagya Chihna'. In 'Vaishnav Dharma' Lord Vishnu is a 'Saubhagya' for the devotee and their 'Kanthi' (Tulasi Maalika) and 'Tilak' represents Saubhagya Chihna'. |
Project -DARPAN: Darpan is an Indian-origin name that means Mirror. We started a small project named Darpan, in which we use Mirror glass with another material in our craft. In this project, we designed wall decor mirror frames, mosaic art mirror frames, Kutch art frames, etc. |
SAUBHAGYA DARPAN SAUBHAGYA DARPAN - a small-sized wooden dressing mirror with a storage unit. Keeping in the mind a few holly activities of our Sanatan culture, we designed this wall mount mirror chest. This craft is made out of recycled MDF wooden board and decorated with brass hardware. We can place this unit on a wall or on the tabletop. Our artisan has used an Indian Mehrab arch cutwork on the mirror frame. There is a small storage unit with a single drawer below the mirror frame, that can be used to keep small holly substances like Sindoor, Kumkum, Bindi, Holly Tilak, Gopi Chandan, or small jewelry. |
Gifting with Positive Message This hand-painted wooden craft is a perfect option for gifting on spiritual or holy occasions like housewarmings and any festival moments. Generally, we used Eco-friendly gift wrap options for all our crafts at the time of packing. In the case of branding or personalized message, we can choose brown gift wrap paper with the provided message or brand-related content. |
Material: Reclaimed MDF Wooden Board Generally, as raw material, our artisans use MDF Wooden sheets for this craft. MDF is made from resin and recycled wood fibers. It is pressed to produce dense sheets that remain stable in all weather conditions. The smooth surface makes it a good choice for simple interior design pieces and especially for painting artwork. |
